Massage has many health benefits which include increased blood flow, prevention of joint stiffness, relaxation, stress reduction, reduced depression and muscle tension. It is the perfect complement after a hard workout, or even just for a day of relaxation. Mending Touch has partnered with St. Pete Calisthenics to bring the benefits of massage to its members and surrounding community. We focus on therapeutic and deep tissue techniques that are tailored to your specific needs. You can also rest assured that safe, secure and accurate documentation via SOAP notes will be completed after each massage to document your healing journey.
Mending Touch massage services*
Client comfort and safety is of the highest concern for the therapist. Therefore, the client must be free to undress to his or her comfort levels to ensure that they feel as safe and secure as possible during the massage session. All clients must fill out consent and health history forms to identify past or present injuries and/or health conditions (such as allergies) that will be used to make sure their massage therapy sessions are as safe and effective as possible. All massage creams used are hypoallergenic. For maximum therapeutic effect, we do not use massage oils for our massages unless specifically requested. Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is a mixture between relaxation and deep tissue. It is not medical massage, but some techniques may be used during the session. Therapeutic massage focuses on specific areas with a mixture of specific work and gliding relaxing strokes. Light to moderate pressure is used throughout the massage excluding contraindicated and delicate areas of the body.
Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage focuses on clients who might need deeper work to get to the deeper layers of fascia and muscle. It is not medical massage, but some techniques may be used during the session. Deep tissue is most often geared towards clients who are in severe pain, have increased muscle tension that won't go away or just like a deeper pressure. Moderate to deep pressure is used throughout the massage excluding contraindicated and delicate areas of the body.
Aromatherapy Massage*

This massage service involves the use of essential oils to produce pleasing and comforting smells to aid in relaxation and restoration of the mind and body. Essential oils are extracted liquids from plants. They are of water consistency and are safe to use on the human body and are commonly added to lotions and creams to be used during the massage.
Currently featuring lemon, peppermint and helichrysum aromatherapy!
*All clients must notify the therapist of any sensitivities or allergies to essential oils prior to their use.
Hand and Foot Treatment
$40.00 add-on to any massage
This luxurious service focuses on hand and foot care with attention to exfoliating and smoothing rough, calloused skin. The hands and feet are then wrapped in warm towels to marinade. The hot towels are then removed along with the scrub and a light scented lotion is applied to lock in the moisture leaving your hands and feet smooth, soft and supple.

Paraffin Hand Treatment***
$30.00 add-on to any massage
This luxurious service is focused on aiding in pain relief, relaxation and skin-softening of the hands. At the beginning of the massage, the hands are submerged in warm melted wax, wrapped in a cozie and massaged into the hands and fingers. The hands are then covered by a thermal mitt overlay to lock in the heat and moisture as the wax solidifies. After about 15 minutes. The cozie, thermal mitt overlays and wax are removed revealing smooth, soft moisturized skin. Lotion is then applied to the hands along with gentle massage for added skin care and hydration.
Currently featuring lavender essential oil-infused paraffin wax and hand lotion!
* This service is great for persons suffering from callouses or arthritic conditions in the hands.
*The highest standards of disinfection protocols are followed to ensure proper hygiene and prevention of infections between clients.
*This service is contraindicated for persons with open sores, lesions and heat sensitivity.

Light compression
Compression is a method used by therapists while applying light compressive forces (or squeezing motion) of various levels with their hands along specific areas of the client's body (usually the arms and legs) which assists to provide warmth, increased relaxation and decrease pain in those areas.
Light stretching
Light stretching is used to improve muscle and joint mobility to increase the range of motion of specific joints while increasing flexibility, assisting with injury prevention, increasing coordination and relieving muscle soreness.

Jeremy Murray, LMT has been in the massage therapy industry for 6 years and has worked with chiropractors and several spas within the Tampa Bay area. He is very excited to team up with St. Pete Calisthenics to provide massage therapy services to its members and the surrounding community. Having an interest in the medical field, Jeremy also has backgrounds in nursing as well as occupational therapy assisting technology. Jeremy knows the value of rest, relaxation and leisure activities and what better way to provide those activities than through massage.
Jeremy's massage style is primarily focused on therapeutic techniques with the intention for healing and easing pain while incorporating relaxation techniques. Jeremy's goal is always to tailor each session to fit each client's individual needs. When not at work, he enjoys playing clarinet, anime, ufology, riding his e-bike, gym-ing and eating out.
